A: The establishment of your new residential lawn requires maintenance watering. The lawn should be kept lightly damp where water does not pool or puddle. Keep an eye on the weather, and adjust your watering until it has shown significant growth (approx. four weeks). We will provide you a maintenance document for you to follow.
Q: Should I apply a weed killer or fertilizer to my new lawn?
A: Weeds are naturally found in soil and can germinate faster than your newly seeded lawn. As the lawn thickens, the grass will crowd out the weeds and your healthy grass root system will choke out the unwanted weeds. Since the hydroseeding application already has fertilizer added, no additional fertilizer is required or recommended during the first six weeks. A high nitrogen fertilizer can be applied after this period, promoting continuous growth.
